Yummy Recipe!

I wanted to post a yummy recipe that I made last week. I get stumped sometimes, when I plan my family menu for the week. Jason loves when I cook something new. If you guys ever have a delicious recipe you want to share, shoot me an e-mail. I love having new foods to make. So here goes...

Creamy Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:
1. 3-4 breasts of chicken
2. 1 can of chicken broth
3. 1 1/3 cup of rice
4. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
5. 1 can cream of chicken soup
6. 8 oz. tub of sour cream
7. 2 sleeves of ritz crackers
8. 1 stick of butter
9. cheddar cheese

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Broil your chicken for aprox. 25-30 min. (You can also use 3 cans of chicken, Jason likes the real thing!)  Put your rice and chicken broth in the bottom of a 9 X 13 in. pan. Your rice should float in the bottom. Mix the cans of soup, sour cream, and broiled cut-up chicken in a bowl. Place the soup mixture all on top of the rice and chicken broth. Then you place cheddar cheese all over the top of the soup mixture. Take your ritz crackers and crush them in a ziplock baggie. I crush mine with can. Place the crushed ritz crackers on top of the cheddar cheese. Melt 1 stick of butter in the microwave. Pour all over the top of your ritz crackers you just placed in your casserole. Place in the oven for 30 min.. Jason said this is his favorite version of this recipe. I hope you guys enjoy!

Look who came to see Kylie last night!

She lost her 5th tooth. We found this cute tooth fairy doll at Stein Mart of all places. She was so excited to put her tooth in it. Marls was so funny. She told us that she did NOT want the tooth fairy to come into her room. I told her that the tooth fairy comes only when you loose a tooth. I hope she changes her mind, by the time she looses her first tooth. She cracks us up!! Have a fabulous Monday, my friends!!

Hey guys! I wanted to ask you guys to pray for a baby named Stellan. I am sure that most of you have heard about him. I read on McKMama's blog this morning, that he is in the hospital in serious condition. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers. I don't know them personally, but I feel like we should all come together in prayer right now for Stellan.

Lookie Loos!

Saturday Part One!
Jason and I woke up early Saturday morning, and decided we needed to try to find this movie set. We ate breakfast at the hotel, and then decided to find a trusty Starbucks. I do not do well with out my morning coffee. We actually found one! We ordered and talked to the woman making our coffee. She mentioned  that Denzel Washington was filming a movie nearby. The funny Starbucks lady told us that the filming was being done in a town 21 miles from Ruidoso. The town is called Carrizozo. Jas and I decided that there may be something to this rumor. The Starbucks lady told us that many of the local Ruidoso girls had headed to Carrizozo to see if they could be noticed. She called them, "Lookie Loos." We thought this was hilarious. We decided to become "lookie loos." We headed to Carrizozo.

We made it to Carrizozo, and immediately noticed the street where they were filming. Jason decided to ask a highway patrolman if we could enter the set and take pictures. He told us, "no, they are filming all day and are not taking visitors." Jas decided that we should not take no for an answer and find another way in. I had a very determined husband on my hands! We found a way in by parking at the Carrizozo post office. We grabbed our camera and started towards the set. Jason ventured closer and closer to the set. I was a little more careful about getting to close. He actually went up to a lady security officer, and asked about the movie. I couldn't believe it. I was just hoping we would not get arrested. She told him that they had been working on the set for four months. It looked so awesome. The pictures do not do it justice. Jas asked if we would see Denzel. The Security lady told him that Denzel is very anti-social. He does not sign autographs or mingle. He does his scenes and then he leaves. So, We did not get any pictures of Denzel. :(  We were so glad that we went, and can't wait to see the movie!!!

The set was supposed to look like a bomb went off in a city.
They built on to the fronts of old buildings.
They were getting ready to film this armored car moving.
Jas even heard them say, "Action!"

Align CenterWe could see them making smoke off in the distance.
Some of the actors coming in from a scene.
I decided to give a shout out to my Red Raiders!
Jason thought these people looked important. He thought they might be producers.

Saturday Part Two!

My parents and the girls arrived in Ruidoso around 3:00. We immediately met them at the house my parents are buliding. We had such a great time. Jas had never seen the house and so we enjoyed walking around with the girls and taking pictures. My dad had made reservations for dinner. It was the perfect way to end our day. Thank you for our anniversary dinner dad! We had an awesome time!!! We look forward to making many wonderful memories with Nene and Papa at their beautiful home.

We had such a great weekend. I was really thanking the Lord for allowing me to get away and be refreshed. I loved being able to spend time with Jas alone, and  then spending time with my parents and our girls. I needed that!!!! I hope that all of you had a great weekend, and that you have a great week!

We're in Ruidoso,NM!

Can you believe I am blogging from Ruidoso? Jason and I came to Ruidoso for our 8 year anniversary. We have some fun plans for tonight.  Laurie told me about a restaurant called the Texas Club. I think we are going to check it out. Jason is looking forward to having a delicious steak!

When we got to our hotel, the front desk ladies told us that Denzel Washington is filming a movie here. They told us that it is called, "The Book of Eli." His stunt double and film crew are actually staying at our hotel! So exciting!!! I am going to try to get some pics of the set for you guys.

The girls and my parents are going to join us tomorrow. We are looking forward to a fun filled weekend! I will have lots of pics and more to come!!
