Sweet Cousin Lacey

Recital time again! This time it was my niece's turn. Lacey was all dressed up in the cutest blue costume. She did such an awesome job. Her class was just adorable. The girls loved seeing their cousin up on stage. Ky's friend, Campbell, was also in this performance. We had so much fun!

I wanted to ask if you guys would keep my parents in your prayers. My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia on Thurs. She ran 102 fever most of the day Fri. Now, My dad is starting to run fever and not feeling well. I am praying that they both will start to feel better. They had to miss the recital tonight, and I know they were disappointed.  I took tons of pics for you, mom. Love you!!

Ky's friend Campbell was in the same recital. She is such an awesome performer!!
Lacey really looks up to Kylie. It is so cute!
We had a fun filled Sat. night. Thank you for inviting us , John and Lora! We are so proud of you, Lacey! Kylie is kicking off her summer vacation next week with vacation bible school. I am looking forward to officially starting our summer fun. I hope all of you had an awesome weekend!

Dance Recital 2009

We made it! The dance recital went off without a hitch. I was so proud of both of the girls. They sat through a five hour rehearsal on Sat. and then danced their little hearts out on Sun. Kylie had three dances. My favorites were her ballet and jazz dances. For ballet she danced to "So Long Farewell" from the Sound of Music. Her jazz dance was one of my favorite 80's songs, "Footloose." What a little performer she was! Marleigh did awesome on her ballet and tap dances. She danced to a song named, "Hula Hoop," for ballet, and "Ratta Tap Tap" for her tap dance. What a little sassy pants she was up there. We had a wonderful weekend!

Marls and her adorable friend Avery
Ky and her sweet friend Alyssa
I loved her ballet dance!
Ky and the girls!
Sassy Pants!
Jas ordered both of the girls flowers. They were beautiful! I don't have a pic of Marls because she was so DONE with taking pictures!
We want to say a special thanks to Nene and Papa, Lala, Uncle John, Auntie Lora, Jarren , Lacey, Mrs. Blythe, and Mrs. Debbie for coming to watch our performance! We love all of you!!!

Buddy Field Day '09

Whew! We had another busy week this week. Ky had her buddy field day, today. I remember doing these when I was in elementary school. She was paired up with her friend, Faith. The girls were also assigned an older girl to run around with. The school provided games, bouncers, and a concession stand for the kiddos to enjoy. We had so much fun!!

Marls was not in the picture taking mood :(

Playing games!

Ky was having a blast!

They loved doing this!

This pic is of my friend, Jessica. We went to high school together. Our kids ended up being in the same class this year! Isn't that the coolest!!
We have a busy weekend ahead. The girls dance recital is on Sunday. I will post some pics on Mon. I hope all of you had a great week and a blessed weekend!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Berry

I wanted to dedicate this post to my Grandpa Berry. His birthday was yesterday. It has been two years since he passed away. He was such an awesome Grandpa. He loved to take my brother and I up to the mountains in Colorado and Wyoming. He would take us fishing, and made us walking sticks for hiking. I will always remember all of the wonderful times we had together. He loved his family, and most of all he love the Lord. I love and miss him so much, but I know he his watching over us from Heaven. He would have been 85 this year. May 9Th will always hold a special place in my heart!

My mom found these pictures of Kylie and Grandpa when she was only 6 months old.

I love these pics! Thank you for finding them for me mom!

Flashback Friday: Happy Mother's Day!

I am following my friend Jennifer's lead today in my Flashback Friday post. I want to dedicate this one to my mom. She has been such a wonderful example of what a mother should be. She has always been the biggest advocate of my brother and I. She taught us all of the values that we hold dear to our hearts. She is such a wonderful grandmother to all of her grandchildren.  I could only hope to be as good of a mom as she is. All of the wonderful work she has done with children in her job. She has saved countless children's lives. I am so proud to be her daughter! I love you Mom!

I am so happy to be the mommy of these two little munchkins. What a blessing motherhood has been to me! I hope all of you have a wonderful Mother's Day. You all deserve it!

I Love This Guy!

Just wanted to do a post to tell you guys a wonderful praise for our family. After 18 years, Jason has quit smoking. He has been smoke-free for 5 weeks now. I have prayed that he would quit for a long time now. He has a history in his family of lung disease, and so I am thrilled that he has made this decision. God is so good! PTL! I have seen so many changes in him these past few weeks. Read below to see what little things he has been doing.

He surprised me with this!
Last Week was so hectic for us. Dance practices, memory books, etc. I was worn out by Thurs. evening. I was finally getting to talk to Jason about everything that was going on that week. He kept interrupting the conversation to tell me to go and wash my face. ( I have a bedtime routine: take contacts out, wash my face, brush my teeth, go to the bathroom.) I wasn't getting it at all that he was trying to surprise me. The bottle of perfume was in the bathroom and I didn't even see it. I walked by it several times and didn't even notice. I came out of the bathroom, and Jas said, "You are not very observant at all!" I was still wondering what he was talking about. He finally told me to go look in the bathroom. I saw the bottle. We laughed so hard. He just needs to surprise me more often. I could get used to it.

I am praising God so much today for helping my Hubby through this somewhat hard time. He has done great and I am so proud to be his wife!
