Arts Festival!

Lubbock has a yearly Arts Festival. I remember going to this event as a child. This year, Mr. Lamm approached us about Kylie entering into the writing contest. She actually won third place out of all of the kindergarten and first grade in Lubbock! We went to the Civic Center today to see her ribbon and take some pictures. She loves to write and so this was right up her alley. She even typed the whole paper herself. ( I stayed up watching her type one late evening! LOL) We are so proud of everything she has accomplished this year. We love you, Ky!

Her paper she wrote. Her topic was how she could make the earth a better place.

Nene and Papa were so proud!

We LOVE this girl!

Rain, Rain, Go Away...

I don't normally sing that song, but we have had rain all week and it's getting a little soggy in L-town. My yard and new petunias need just a little bit of sunshine! LOL!

We have had a busy past couple of weeks. The girls have been super busy with school and dance. Recital is only about 4 weeks away...Eeek! Marls and I both had our spring music programs yesterday. Nene came to watch her. (which made her day!) She did a great job! We love to watch her sing to the Lord!

My class music program's theme was the Lord's Army. All of us wore camo. My bestie and I decided to jazz up my camo pants with cute crosses and a peace sign made out of adorable fabric. She is in the process of making hers and I can't wait to see them! I think mine turned out so cute!

My jazzed up camos! I LOVE them!!

We have a busy weekend coming up so I am hoping that we see a little bit of the sun peep out. If not, I am very thankful for the Lord's rain!!! I hope you all have a fun filled weekend!

Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's On It's Way!

Oh Marleigh, my Marleigh! This is the face I came upon when I went outside to see Marls hunt eggs. She had spotted something that was not making her happy at her school Easter egg hunt. Can anyone guess what it was?

Still keeping an eye out for it!

Uh oh! Now she is really unhappy!

Marls had spotted someone dressed up as the Easter bunny. She has NEVER been a fan of any adult wearing a costume. No Santa and definitely not an Easter bunny! She has some high anxiety about it! That's my Marleigh. She was very excited to leave the area that the bunny was in to go to her party. LOL!

Now she is as happy as a little lark!

Here is her sweet friend Tyson. Gotta love that smile!

Marleigh and her precious friend, Jillian. Sassy girls!

We have exciting news down below!

We are so proud!

When I went to pick Kylie up from school on Monday, she ran up telling me that she was named student of the month for March! Mr. Lamm also stopped me to tell me how wonderful she is doing in school. He told me that he told her that she was going to go far in life. He also told me that having her as one of his students makes his job easier. He also said that we had done an awesome job with her. Can I tell you that I just wanted to start crying tears of Joy right then and there! Before Kylie started school, I prayed that we had done all that we could do to teach her the right things to do and to always do her best. It was so wonderful to hear Mr. Lamm's kind words. Kylie is truly a blessing from God to us. We are so proud of you sweet girl! We love you!

I hope all of you have a beautiful EASTER!
