Kylie's Best Night Ever.....The Nutcracker!

We have one happy seven year old on our hands! At the last minute, Nene and I decided to surprise Kylie with tickets to The Nutcracker. We got all dolled up and headed to the ballet. It was a wonderful night. The ballet dancers were just beautiful. Kylie loved every minute of it! She actually got autographs from several of the dancers. Her best friend from school, Faith, played one of the little dolls at the beginning. Ky was in heaven!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Jones household! I cannot believe I actually have all of my decorations up and took pictures of the girls tonight for our family Christmas card. I LOVE Walgreens. Their website is super easy when you want to make your own cards. The best part is that I will have them in the morning. That just makes me smile!!! They were so excited to finally be able to try on their Christmas p.j.'s. I am trying to save them for various school activities, so they were not happy with me at all when I told them we would have to change after the pictures. They did look so comfy!

Sweet Sisters!

Here are a couple of things that I love pulling out at Christmas:

This is an ornament that Ky made in preschool! Snow men are the best aren't they!

Here is my Jones Family Christmas plate I made at the F.C.N. p.j. party last year. I absolutely love it!

I hope all of you are having a fabulous week. I can't wait to see your Christmas decor!

J and K + 8: The End

Monday evenings are usually reserved for one of my favs, "Dancing with the Stars." Last night, I saw that Jon and Kate plus 8's final episode was on. I actually started watching this show when Kylie was 2 1/2 years old. Jas and I watched the whole episode without speaking. When it was over, Jas just said, "that was so sad." I agreed. No matter how you feel about this family, good or bad, my heart just ached for their children and all they are going through.

I don't usually say my personal opinions on our blog, but it just stuck with me the rest of the evening. I am personally glad that they have chosen to end the show. I feel like their kids deserve better than bickering out their differences on national television. The mom in me kicked in and wanted to protect those children from all of the yucky that is going on around them. Did any of you see the show? What did you think? I am going to continue to pray for the Gosselin kids. I know the Lord can intervene in their lives! So sad! :(

On a more positive note: Look what I made!!!
I made this at the FCN P.J. party. I love all of the colors!

Is That a Turkey or a Christmas Tree?

We had such a fun start to our day today! Ky had a take- home project in her backpack on Friday. Mr. Lamm asked that we disguise a turkey to keep her from being eaten on Thanksgiving. I LOVE to do projects with Ky. I have sent home quit a few projects this year to my class at LakeRidge. I just think it is a great way to spend time with your kiddos. We decided to disguise the turkey as a Christmas tree. What do you think? Did we do a good job?

Ky thought she should be very colorful underneath!

I LOVE her star tree topper!

I am going to be a busy bee the next two days. We are going to spend Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with Nonna, Uncle J. and Bekah. I am packing, cleaning, and working out details for our pets. I am looking forward to spending some quality time with family. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holidays! Who knows, maybe I can do a post from O.K.!! :)

"Hey Mom, Are We Going To Play With Mud?"

This year we decided to have Marleigh's birthday party at a cool place called, The Mudd Room. It is one of those places that you can go in and paint ceramics and do other various art projects. Several of the kids had never been to one of these places, and so they kept asking their moms if they were going to play with mud. LOL! I thought that was so funny! Don't you just love they way four year old's think! Marls' loves barbie and so she had a beautiful barbie cake, goodie bags, plates and napkins. It was so much fun. Marleigh had a wonderful birthday!

Look at all of her sweet friend's that came!

Part Two:

I can't believe that it is already time for Marleigh to be attending her first Thanksgiving Feast at her school. LakeRidge preschool has a wonderful festival every year. The children do crafts, eat, and sing. I got a little sentimental remembering when Kylie attended the celebration. It was also Marleigh's actual birthday and so I ordered pizza for her class so she could have a small celebration with her friends. It was a great day!

I love this time of year! I am starting to get excited about the holidays. I hope all of you are having a great week! :-)
