Happy Father's Day and My New Obsession!

I wanted to thank all of you for keeping us in your prayers. Jason is doing great, and that crazy day is starting to become a faint memory. I have to apologize for lack of updates. We have been extremely busy this summer. The girls just finished swim lessons, last week. I am hoping to have some relaxing summer days coming soon.

I want to wish Jas a very special father's day. I love you and appreciate everything you do. You are such a wonderful husband and father!!

Scroll down to see my new obsession!!!!

My new obsession!

If there is anyone out there that hasn't read the Twilight series or hasn't seen the movie, you are missing out!! I know I am probably a little behind on getting on the Twilight bandwagon, but I am officially a Twilight fan. I read all four books in less than two weeks!!! I cannot wait for the movie, New Moon, to come out in November!! Are there any other fans out there to join me? (I do know of a few!)

I hope all of the Fathers out there have a great day, and all of you have a very blessed week!!

Pray! Pray! Pray!

I have pondered about posting on this subject. I decided to go ahead and post about it, because we need prayers. The girls had started their annual swimming lessons on Monday and so on Tuesday we had just gotten home, when I got the phone call from Jason. He said," I don't want you to panic, but I am headed to the hospital and need a new set of clothes." I immediately panicked and asked, "are you bleeding?" Jas replied, "NO! Something has happened at work and I need to you come to the hospital." I gathered up his clothes as quick as I could and headed out the door. I found out that there had been an industrial accident at TYCO, where he works.

One of his coworkers was working on something inside a tank that contained hydrogen sulfide. Jason's coworker was inside the tank, when he was overcome by the fumes. He passed out and fell into the bottom of the tank. Jason called 911. Another coworker decided that he would get on a safety suit and try to help inside the tank. This coworker could not fit in the tank with his oxygen attatched. He then made the decision to go in with a mask. He passed out and was in the bottom of the tank as well. Jason immediately decided that the only way they were going to get them out was to cut a hole in the side of the tank. Jason cut the hole, and pulled the first man out. They also pulled out the guy that had tried to help. They were unresponsive. Jason and several others were exposed to this hydrogen sulfide. ( A very dangerous chemical!) The fire department and e.m.s. came and took over from there. They were all rushed to the hospital to be hosed down and checked out. Needless to say, it was a very tense and stressful time. I did get in to see Jason. I had to see for myself that he was o.k. He physically looked o.k., but was very shaken up. I hope this makes sense! It has been a very tough week for all involved. I just have to say how proud I am of Jason, for all that he did for his coworkers. A few years ago, TYCO sent him to become first responder trained. All of that training and just his instincts helped save two peoples lives. I am so proud to be his wife.

I would just like to ask if all of you would keep all of the men involved in your prayers. They are all experiencing some post traumatic stress. TYCO is actually bringing in a counselor, today, to talk with all of them. The two men that were in the tank are expected to make a full recovery! PTL!! I thank God everyday, that he put a hedge of protection around Jason.

UPDATE: Jason told me tonight, that his coworker that was in critical condition is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow! He also told me that the session with the counselor went awesome. God is so Good!

Sweet Cousin Lacey

Recital time again! This time it was my niece's turn. Lacey was all dressed up in the cutest blue costume. She did such an awesome job. Her class was just adorable. The girls loved seeing their cousin up on stage. Ky's friend, Campbell, was also in this performance. We had so much fun!

I wanted to ask if you guys would keep my parents in your prayers. My mom was diagnosed with pneumonia on Thurs. She ran 102 fever most of the day Fri. Now, My dad is starting to run fever and not feeling well. I am praying that they both will start to feel better. They had to miss the recital tonight, and I know they were disappointed.  I took tons of pics for you, mom. Love you!!

Ky's friend Campbell was in the same recital. She is such an awesome performer!!
Lacey really looks up to Kylie. It is so cute!
We had a fun filled Sat. night. Thank you for inviting us , John and Lora! We are so proud of you, Lacey! Kylie is kicking off her summer vacation next week with vacation bible school. I am looking forward to officially starting our summer fun. I hope all of you had an awesome weekend!
