It all started at about 4:30. The sky turned very dark very quickly. I heard some pea sized hail coming down, when Jason called to tell me to turn on the news. Lubbock is under a Tornado warning. All of a sudden, hail was falling from the sky like snow. Jason was still at work, and I decided I had better get Marls' closet ready for us to take cover in. Luckily, the storm never produced a funnel, but I really thought that this was going to be the time, that the girls and I were going to have to use our tornado safety plan. After the storm passed, the girls and I went out to check out the hail. We found some the size of a golf ball! What an afternoon! We are supposed to have some more storms tonight. I guess it's all a part of living in tornado alley!
Golf ball sized!
Build-up on our porch.
Ky and Marls thought it looked so cool!
Marls was ready with blankets and pillows in her closet!

Wow! Glad ya'll stayed safe! Those little hands holding the huge hail was too cute! :)
So glad you all are ok and a tornado didn't blow you all away!
It looks like snow, hopefully you won't have a lot of hail damage.
I am glad that you all were safe my friend. I was worried about you but glad to know you have a plan!
Luv ya
That is one thing I do not miss about Lubbock. Glad you are all okay!
Wow! Ya'll got a lot more hail than we did being closer to the center of Lubbock! I took a pic too, but ours was only quater-sized and dime-sized. I got a little scared myself by watching the news! Trav was in meeting and didn't even know about it--crazy huh? Marleigh's closet is the perfect place! We need a place too!
